Clone and healing brush are not working

Recommended Posts

They work fine in photo but you need to set the selection point with your finger. You cannot set it with the Apple Pencil. Something to do with pencil not registering a long press I think.

Yes I am having the same issue on the iPad with the Apple Pencil. You have to make a selection with your finger not the pencil. The inpainting brush works well with the Apple Pencil on the iPad but it is a pain to figure out how to use the Clone Brush Tool with the Apple Pencil. Is this is bug or am I not doing something correctly?

Add a new pixel layer above your main image (pixel layer) and set context menu to current layer and below. Press finger on screen and a loupe appears with a crosshair in the centre. Slide your finger to move the loupe and place the crosshair on the pixel you wish to clone. Set your width and start painting on the empty pixel layer. 🙂
