Problem selecting more than one element.

Recommended Posts

When I want to Move, Copy or Delete more than one element in Publisher I run into problems.

I select the Move Tool, hold down Alt and double click on the first element and all is well but as soon as I select the second element the first one deselects.

This procedure works infallibly in my CAD program and in Open Office Writer etc but not in Affinity Publisher.

Am I doing something wrong?!

Windows 10, Affinity Publisher 1.8.3.641

From the Help for Selecting Objects:

Quote
To select multiple objects:

Do one of the following:

  • With the Move Tool selected, Shift-click each object on the page in turn to select them.
  • With the Move Tool selected, drag to draw a marquee around the object(s).*

There's more in that section about the modifier keys, and there's the footnote talking about marquee selection.
