AP 1.8.2 Freezes

I downloaded and installed the new windows version. No matter what I am using or working on, AP freezes up the computer

and I have to do a hard reset to get started again.

Should I uninstall the whole thing or just try to re install the 1.8.2 update

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

First, please confirm the version of Affinity Photo you're using. The new version is 1.8.3, not 1.8.2

Also, where did you purchase Affinity Photo? Directly from the Serif Affinity Store, or from the Microsoft Store?

Hey,  I purchased it from the Affinity Website. Windows version

So when launched  the software a few days ago, It said download the new version. 1.8.3,  I did and installed it. 

I just check right now and its still sitting at 1.8.2

That doesn't sound right, as 1.8.3 just became available today.

If you close Photo, and start it again, do you get a prompt to update? If so, please click Download, which should take you to the update site to download 1.8.3. Then close Photo, and after the download completes try running the installer you downloaded.
