Joe Crickets Posted April 3, 2020 Share Posted April 3, 2020 Hi, sometimes when I work with Affinity Photo or Affinity Designer after some time I can't select the instruments on the palette anymore and the pointer is in the view tool mode (hand icon). Do you have any secondary input device connected, such as a touchpad or drawing tablet? Are you panning or zooming around the document using any specific keyboard shortcuts? Thanks in advance! Joe Crickets Posted April 8, 2020 Author Share Posted April 8, 2020 Hi Dan C, no problem, I solved this problem reading the solution somewhere in the forum. When the the pointer is stucked in the view tool mode, it is enough to press the space bar once or twice. To answer your questions, it happened without any input device connected or using any specific keyboard shortcuts . Designer v1.8.3, I have a Wacom tablet attached to my workstation but I was not using it when the described behaviour occurs. MacBook Pro mid 2016 OS 10.14.6. Have a great day. I use Mac OS computers, I get used to override the problem by pressing the space bar, by now it has become an automatic gesture. But anyway I'll read the forum posts, thanks.
