APhoto not discarding garbage

Recommended Posts

Garbage is not the correct term, but I don't know else to name it.

1. Original image (TIFF) about from September 19, edited with APhoto, 5796x3870px, RGB/8, sRGB, one Selective Colour adjustment had 160.213 KB

2. Saving it today as .afphoto the file has 144.267 KB

3. Removing the adjustment and exporting as TIFF the file has 15.152 KB

4. Opened TIFF from step 3 and added Selective Colour adjustment againg and exported as TIFF the file has 39.593 KB

Does this mean, that there are about 120.000 KB useless information in the file from step 1?

To force a streamline you can do a Save-As to a new file.  The new file will always be a streamlined version.

This is what Ben wrote and so did I with the .afphoto version. Before: 144.267 KB, after: 144.272 KB.
