need help

im new to all this and learning.

iv been following videos on youtube and came across one that im stuck on

if you goto : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaDtLXwufNs&t=233s @ 4:17 Seconds 

eg o----------0----------o when i hold ctrl only one side moves so click on the right o but the left doesnt move in syn but in the youtube video that both move.

Welcome to the forums.
On Windows (not sure if it’s the same on Mac) you can hold the right-hand mouse button down while dragging the handle to preserve the handle ratios.

Hi when I right click on the right button on the mouse it comes up with a menu even if I hold it. If I click n hold the left mouse button then it only moves the side I’m on not both.

Perhaps: Click the left mouse button first, then the right button, then drag?

I’ve worked it out. U got to press both left and right button together 😀. Thanks Guys

You’re welcome.
You don’t need to press them both together – which can be difficult to do – you just need to hold the left-hand button down and then hold the right-hand button down while the left-hand button is down. When the handles are where you want them, release the left-hand button first, then the right-hand button. The right-hand button, in this case, is a modifier on top of holding the left-hand button down and can be pressed or released at any time while the left-hand button is being pressed.
