This way one can put adjustments on masterpages and have it reflect on the regular pages. walt.farrell
Also, I don't understand why the Layer is needed in your example file. Without it, the Recolor Adjustment does not apply at all, but why not? Yes, but you can simply have the adjustment on the Master Page without having a Layer. And the adjustment is still then in the Master layer on the document page. But it doesn't work at all in that case. Why not? Staff MEB Posted April 2, 2020 Staff Share Posted April 2, 2020 A layer is just a container, not an object. It has no dimensions set. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software

Sorry for my imprecision. I meant, in the context of @haakoo's question (and sample file) that once outside the Layer, the adjustment has no effect on objects on the document page. (Note that in the sample document, the master page layer was moved above objects on the document page, and the adjustment does affect objects on the document page when it is within a master page Layer.) Staff MEB Posted April 2, 2020 Staff Share Posted April 2, 2020 There's a few issues here which i'm now logging. For example in the same circumstances a Noise filter does affect the document area (when placed inside a Layer) whereas a ripple filter does nothing no matter if placed inside or outside the layer in the master page. walt.farrell 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software

For example in the same circumstances a Noise filter does affect the document area plus the bleed area (when placed inside a Layer) whereas a ripple filter does nothing no matter if placed inside or outside the layer in the master page. An additional aspect of this that the Devs might be interested in: If you have a master page containing only an adjustment layer, it has no effect on the document page it's applied to. (I'm not talking about the bleed area, just no affect on objects on the page, at all). However, if you make the adjustment layer into a group (even one just containing the adjustment) it will affect the objects on the page. This seems somewhat like what Haakoo did, putting it into a Layer.
