LeoC Posted April 1, 2020 Share Posted April 1, 2020 I have purchased Photo and Publisher directly form Affinity site, but designer via AppStore from Apple. Both Photo and Publisher are in my Affinity account but Publisher isn't. That maybe logic but for the Beta version a key is required which I can't find. Staff MEB Posted April 1, 2020 Staff Share Posted April 1, 2020 Hi LeoC, There's no need for a key if you have purchased the app from the Mac App Store. Just make sure the retail app is installed (which is required to validate the Beta) and then install the Beta. Part from the validation both are totally independent apps. LeoC Posted April 2, 2020 Author Share Posted April 2, 2020 Hi MEB, The app I have installed and is autmatically upgraded to 1.8.2, so that is not the problem. I only want to know if changes are worked on in new versions. Staff MEB Posted April 2, 2020 Staff Share Posted April 2, 2020 The older Beta(s) have expired are are not validated by the current Mac App Store version. If you install the latest Designer Beta from here, it should work without issues as long as you keep the Mac App Store version installed as well. I'm curious why you don't just upgrade to 1.8.3, but MEB or another Serif staffer will have to comment on why the latest 1.8.3 beta won't validate with 1.8.2. There are currently no 1.8.4 betas yet.
