Michelb
Hi guys, Beatiful work on this App. Definitely mentioning this to my students. Can I buy the App as a gift for someone else or is the machine it's downloaded on the one you're stuck with? Thanks
Staff MEB Posted July 29, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 29, 2015 Hi Michelb, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) You can install the application in up to five computers in a home environment or on two for single commercial use, if you use the same Apple ID you used to purchase the app on the first computer. There's no way to gift a Mac application directly from the Mac App Store however you can buy an iTunes Gift covering the cost of the application that can be used in the Mac App Store. To do it visit this link and click on: Send an iTunes Gift iTunes will run and open a dialog where you can choose a value and fill in the e-mail of the person you want to send it to. suzannesage
Hi Michelb, You can send apps to friends as gift by going to iTunes. Launch iTunes on Mac/Windows > Go to App Store > Find and tap on the app that you would like to gift > Click on the arrow next to the “Buy” button. Then you will get a pop-up window with a “Gift This App” option > Click on Gift This App and fill out the information needed > Click on Next. You can also send apps on iPhone/iPad. Open App Store on your iDevice > Find the app you wish to deliver as a gift using the browser or search function > On the app details screen, tap the share box in the upper right corner > Tap on Gift button when the menu pops up at the bottom of the screen. dma_732000
Hi, I would like to ask the same question (gifting the app, but for windows) is there a solution for this? Tanks! Sorry for asking this in the mac section but I figured is a related question. Congrats on all new releases, BTW! You're closing a fantastic year!
