Shupshe Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 Just purchased Christi's Comix Assets from store. Desktop Photo imports everything just fine, however the iPad Photo app won't even attempt to import christis-comix-assets.afassets The icon in files app is grey and I can't select it. Went to files app to download the file, making sure that wasn't the problem but no go. It still won't even attempt to open the file. This is on an iPad Pro 12.4" first gen. Quote
Dan C Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 Hi Shupshe, Welcome to the forums My sincerest apologies for the delayed response, unfortunately due to the current circumstances our response time is longer than normal. We're working hard to keep on top of things, so many thanks for your patience and understanding here. We've seen file format issues before with iPadOS where our files aren't correctly detected. Could you please try moving the Asset file to a Cloud location (if it's currently stored locally) or vice-versa if it's currently in a Cloud location, then try importing the file again. Please do let me know if this helps! Quote
Shupshe Posted April 2, 2020 Author Posted April 2, 2020 Delay is fully understandable in these strange times. No worries. Location doesn't seem to matter. I've copied the file from iCloud to "On my iPad" and to different folders for both. I've created an assets file on the iPad, exported it, deleted the assets, restarted the iPad, then tried to import. It still doesn't recognize that it's an importable file. I've also deleted Photo, restarted the iPad, redownloaded Photo and tried with no luck I've tried this on an iPad Pro 12.4" first gen and a 2019 iPad Air. Quote
Dan C Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 @Shupshe Thanks for all of your information provided - we are aware of an issue that affected version 1.8.2 if Affinity Photo was installed and not Affinity Designer which caused certain files (such as .afassets) to be handled incorrectly. Version 1.8.3, released last Friday addressed this issues and should have hopefully resolved it. Could you please download and install the latest version from the app store, then try importing this file again for me? Many thanks in advance Quote
Shupshe Posted April 9, 2020 Author Posted April 9, 2020 v1.8.3 Has the fix. I was able to import the assets file with no issues. Stay safe and take care. Dan C 1 Quote
