malayali Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 Would love to see a font recognition feature in Affinity products similar to that Match Font in Photoshop. Screenshot from Skillforge. Fritz_H Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 What does this feature do? Does it check bitmaps of text to recognize which font was used? Does it suggest only fonts from the Adobe-Store or from any source? kind regards Fritz Quote

But it does suggest fonts, matching the selection, from installed fonts and Adobe Fonts. Fritz_H Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 that´s the point: it suggests only stuff from the same company. But there are far more font-sources/resellers out there than just Adobe. perhaps you want to try these tools?https://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/https://www.fontsquirrel.com/matcherator "installed fonts": you should have only those fonts installed (= active) that are required for the job you are working on right now. (#Font Management Tool) This minimizes the risk of mixing fonts from different Client-jobs. Quote

And it comes useful when you need to find a matching font from the installed fonts collection on your system.
