I bought a new laptop about the same time I loaded Affinity on to my old Hard drive which was in my desktop computer, that computer stopped working and I salvaged the hard drive as this laptop came with a trial Affinity photo just left it on the old hard drive, I now use this laptop in a photography group and cannot use the hard drive it is installed on, so is it actually possible to move it from one drive to another as a 1 off.

Welcome to the Affinity forums.

First, you would need to download and install Affinity Photo to your new hard drive from whichever store, Serif, Microsoft or Mac you originally purchased it.  I am a little confused by your mention of a "trial" version but I assume you actually have previously purchased the full version.

Just to clarify: you cannot move the program's files from one hard drive to another, they must be installed to the new drive.
