Andrew C
Hi there! Serious noob here. I want to make this low res logo into a high res logo to use in a 4K video. Right now it's a low res JPEG. If it's a SVG it's scalable right? If export to SVG it's the same, pixelated edges. If I select the logo and use the refine tool I can't seem to lose the pixelated edges. I'm sure there must be a really easy way. Can someone help? Please bear in mind I am not regular user of this software or graphics software. Thanks a mil!! MikeW
The typeface is likely Walkway Expand Black (Regular) https://www.dafont.com/walkway.font?text=PINATA The font family is 100% free--meaning it can be used commercially for no cost. Type the word using that typeface. Draw the few little squares and color them as appropriate. Save the in the Affinity file format for your Affinity application. Then export to SVG. You don't list your Affinity application, but surmise you are using APhoto. If you also have Affinity Designer I would recommend using it. Andrew C
Thanks a lot Mike, I'll check this out now. It's affinity photo 1.8.2.620 that I'm using. Importing new fonts, who knew? Thanks a bunch!

Is it down to experience or are there tools you can use to identify random fonts? Quote AP, AD & APub user, running Win10
Staff MEB Posted March 30, 2020 Staff Share Posted March 30, 2020 Hi IanSG, There's tools and sites that provide services to identify fonts. Check for example Myfonts's WhatTheFont or FontSquirrel's Matcherator. Some require some input from you, others work with uploaded user images. I use an application. One problem with the MyFonts solution is it will not find fonts outside its ecosystem. At least it never use to. I use FindMyFont. https://www.findmyfont.com/

In addition to WhatTheFont there are other online tools such as What Font Is and Fontspring’s Matcherator. IanSG
@MEB, @MikeW, @Alfredthanks for that - it's not often that I need to match a font, but now I know how to do it! Quote AP, AD & APub user, running Win10
MikeW
You're welcome, Ian. I need to identify fonts frequently, often to remake someone's logo for an ad or the like and the client has no idea what was used.
