I am creating a brochure and using master pages, on some of the pages I need the text on the master page white and others black. I started duplicating the master pages with a name like Master A (black) etc. But it seems a little messy now as I have various options like white on left and black or right etc.  Is there a better way to do this?

Thanks

You could put two text frames on the Master Page, overlapping exactly, with one having the more common text color, and the other having the less common color. Hide the less common one in the Layers panel.

Then on the pages needing the less common color, right-click the master page layer in the Layers panel, choose Edit Detached, then hide the one you don't want and unhide the other. Then click Finish.

Remember that you can apply a master page to each individual page. So once you created your master pages one with white and one with black you can apply white to the verso and black to the recto of the same spread. No need to keep duplicating master pages.

Thanks Seneca, what has made me make quite a few is the masters are double page spreads, the left hand side have the brochure name, the right side the page number.  Some I need white on both, other back and some white one side and black the other. I think what Walt suggested above might work well for my needs here.
