[Request] Hide All Layers

Hello, i would like to have a shortcut key to quickly hide all layers or make the current "Show all layers" have double function. When pressed once to show all layers and when is pressed again hide all layers.

Hello @FKF5482 and welcome to the forum.

I do not understand what the advantage of hiding all layers is. Then everything is invisible. Can you please explain a little further or give an example what you have in mind?

I think it means if you have 100 layers and you want to hide 80 of them as an example. But you can hide all layers with two/three actions already. Click into Layers, select all Layers, uncheck the box for visibility.

Better reading next time: Sorry, no shortcut so far. Macros for APu would be handy for this.

Thank you dominik, nice to be here.

Usually i work with 1-3 visible layers at the same time and when i want to see all the layers to get a general idea of my work so far i use the shortcut to show all layers.

But when i want to do the opposite i need to follow the steps Joachim_L described which is a "waste" of time. With a shortcut though i can quickly hide all layers and then make visible only the layer(s) i want to work with at the time.

This is more or less related to what is called around here 'isolation mode' and is discussed e.g. over there (and in some other places, too):

Unfortunately this is not available completely. You can ALT+click on an object in the layers panel and this displays just this layer. This does not work for multiple layers. It is in effect currently mainly a preview of one object. This can be usefull e.g. to edit a mask or a single object. Many find this behaviour limiting.

I 've tried the Alt-click you told me dominic and unfortunately is very limiting for my use case as well.
