I was interested in your Affinity Publisher and I downloaded the trail version. After a time I then paid for the package. I was then sent details and a link to download the program again.

After downloading I ran the install and now it will not work at all. I am using windows 10 64 bit updated regularly as normal. The install fails. I have tried downloading another copy but the installation still fails.

I can not uninstall anything as it does not show up on the uninstall options on control panel. I can see the directory called Affinity in Program Files but can not remove it the directory is empty

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

This FAQ entry covers most of the usual problems and solutions: https://affin.co/WinSetupFailed

It sounds like there was an error uninstalling the old version. It's possible that restarting Windows, then right-clicking on the installer .exe file and choosing Run as Administrator would work. That's a common solution. But it's also possible that you'll need to run the Microsoft Uninstall Troubleshooter that the FAQ references, before you try installing again.

Sorry you're having problems. There seems to be some Windows issue that the Affinity installers trigger, for some people. Others never, or only rarely, have problems.

Edit: Also, when you're posting a topic, the "Title" field is for the subject or brief description of the problem. Not for a personal title like Mr or Dr. You can edit your first post to change that, if you want :)
