I'm having a little trouble understanding artboards in Designer.  Let's say a company want to look at 4 versions of a business card.  What's the different between using artboards and making a 4 page document.  Also, when that company decides on one do you have to change the artboard to a regular document?  jared anderson

Technically there is little difference in this, however 2 things to note are that Designer does not support multi-page documents naively, so you must use artboards instead. Secondly Artboards are unlike pages in that they can be in any order, arranged in any manner and can all be different sizes in the same document.

This depends on how the company require the exported design, if you need to produce a PDF for example, you can simply export 1 artboard only.
