Lymus Posted March 28, 2020 Posted March 28, 2020 Not to complain, but i'm a bit confused. I purchased Affinity Publisher in the belief (based on all the press) that it was an Adobe indesign killer. Having now used Publisher for a while now it seems to be lacking a lot of the features that pageplus had. Am i now going to have to upgrade to each successive release in the hope that i'll be in the same place i was 3 years ago. A lot o people keep mentioning new code bit for me as a user i fail to see the benefit. As i said i'm not so much complaining, but would like educating.
GarryP Posted March 28, 2020 Posted March 28, 2020 Welcome to the forums. Publisher is only about a year old and so is currently lacking several features that exist in other similar products. It will grow and get more features over the coming years but, for now, it’s simply what it is: a new application with a lot of potential. emmrecs01 1
walt.farrell Posted March 28, 2020 Posted March 28, 2020 In the meantime, if PagePlus X9 has features you need, feel free to keep using it when you need those features, and to use Publisher when it can do what you need. emmrecs01 1 -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop 1: Windows 11 Pro 24H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
