Deeleres
Hi, there might be a bug with generating an index and handling with master pages -- Files are attached. On Page 3 is the Index; On Page 4 should be nothing - no Master Page applied; On Page 5 a the Right Master Page with prepared text formats for editors is applied The Master Pages have formated text on both pages -- and the unused Left Master Page shows up in the Index. This might be a problem with the master pages -- the whole content of it shows up in the layers panel. Stay healthy everybody. Old Bruce
I just downloaded and opened your file and only see a master page applied to page 5. The items on page 3 are just there, they are not from a master page. Thisis on Mac OS 10.14.6 Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4 Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

First, just to clarify, your file has no Index. I think you meant TOC (Table of Contents), which is what is on page 3. I also think you're right that something odd happens when you have a facing-page Master Page with text on it, and you apply only one side of the Master to a document page. In your case, the text from the left side of the master is present on the document spread, in the Layers panel, even though only the right side was applied. Interestingly, if you click on one of the left-side text frames in the Layers panel, the frame is visible on the left page, but the content is invisible. But having the layer present in the Layers panel is apparently enough to get the TOC processing to include the (invisible) text in the TOC that is created. I noticed it on a different project on MacOS 10.13 and also could reproduce it on Windows -- both on Publisher Version 1.8.2.
