AP 1.8.3.178 - incorrect rendering of object clip-nested in Embedded Document

Recommended Posts

AP beta 1.8.3.178 and earlier

macOS 10.13.6

An object clip-nested in an Embedded Document is not correctly limited to the coverage of the Embedded Document. Both the document display and an exported image are afflicted.

The attached example compares broken clipping by an Embedded Document and correct clipping by a Pixel object: failed clipping.afphoto

The problem is not fully resolved.

See the new attached example (from AP 1.8.4) below.

All three graphics in the example should look like the correctly rendered one on the right which uses a clipping Pixel object.

The app is failing to control the visibility of the cyan child objects according to the opacity of the clipping Embedded Document or the clipping Image object..
