Staff MEB Posted July 21, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 21, 2015 Hello marsmobile, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Yes, it's possible [EDIT} That's only possible for masks {/EDIT]. Just drag your mask over the group's thumbnail in the Layers panel. marsmobile
Hello MEB Thank you for welcoming)) I meant how to achieve this (pic #1) in Affinity. I can only do this to the single object (pic #2) PS I do appreciate Affinity approach to layers manipulation. Great work!
Staff MEB Posted July 21, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 21, 2015 Hi marsmobile, Sorry, i misunderstood you. It's not possible to use a group as a clipping mask. Only single objects. I've corrected my post above to avoid confusion. I will raise this with the developers. Affinity Jack
Hello, and thank you for that topic. It is soooooooo easy. But I didn't know that. So, perhaps a little symbol/icon in the layer palette a drop down at "layers" would be fine, because in my opinion others will be searching too.
