Liv Andersen Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 (edited) Hi, I'm experiencing lag and delay with both Affinity Photo and Designer since update 1.7, I already uninstalled both apps and reinstalled but it didn't seem to change much. The latest version I'm able to use without problems is version 1.6.5. In the newer versions (including 1.8) there are a couple things I notice: -It takes a while for the program register clicks, for example when I select a tool, or try to select another color for my object. -Delay when trying to change tools. -Lag when I try to write text over any canvas. Overall it doesn't feel as smooth as version 1.6.5 in my computer. What could be happening here? Thank you very much. Edited March 25, 2020 by Liv Andersen Quote

Staff stokerg Posted March 30, 2020 Staff Posted March 30, 2020 Hi Liv Andersen and Welcome to the Forums, Are you running Affinity on Mac or Windows? Have you tried testing the latest betas to see if they perform any better? Quote
Liv Andersen Posted March 30, 2020 Author Posted March 30, 2020 (edited) Hi, thank you for answering! I'm running on Windows 10 Home edition. Here are my specs: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz 8GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti So clearly that shouldn't be a problem running affinity softwares right? I have tried running a lot of versions after 1.6.5 update, but all of them seem to have the same problem.. I even clean installed Windows 10 but the problem still persisted. I'm not sure if I have tried the latest best though. UPDATE: so I installed the latest beta version and indeed it is perfoming better and the problems seems to be solved, that's weird! haha. What could have happened? Edited March 30, 2020 by Liv Andersen Quote
