TJH Art Studio
Hello and thank you for the recent update to 1.8.2. I use both the IPad and the Desktop for all three platforms. My question is, I want to edit a text like what I used to do with Adobe Illustrator using their Creative outline mode. Is there a way to do that using Designer? I would like to customize a font within a title but I can’t seem to find a way to do it. Thanks. Sometimes it’s hard to find where it’s at in order to make changes. Is the rule mode on this? I’m designing outline drawing for a indoor wall mural. Thomas J. Herring

Haven't used creative outline but you can convert to text to curves which is what I think creative outline does. Each letter of the text will be converted to a vector shape and can be adjusted. If you prefer to retain text as editable text you can still edits colours and add effects using the colour studio and the fx studio. Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). DM1
Just select your text and choose Convert to Curves from the Edit menu, then use node tool to adjust to suit. Use colour studio to alter colours. Fx studio for effects such as drop shadows etc. I have attached a link to a PDF copy of the help file in case you find that useful.https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/64366-affinity-designer-16-on-ipad-pdf-help-file/ IMG_3583.MP4 Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen).
