JHawley
Just updated to 1.82 and the node tools behavior is very different then how I have been able to use in the past. After creating a vector curve, closed or open, using the pen or pencil tool, I am unable to select the object via the node tool at all. Instead I'm having to switch to the move tool to select it before I can edit it with the node tool. Also, what was once an easy step to simply click between two nodes to insert a new node no longer works at all.
Staff Sean P Posted March 25, 2020 Staff Share Posted March 25, 2020 Hi JHawley, Are you using a Wacom Tablet at all? There is an issue with Windows Ink that is preventing users from editing Nodes. If you go to Preferences > Tools and disable 'Use Windows Ink for tablet input' you should be able to use your tablet correct to insert nodes. With regards to the first issue there hasn't been any changes in 1.8 that affects that. Did you know that holding Ctrl down allows you to temporarily switch to the Node Tool whilst using the Pen Tool to manipulate nodes you've just drawn. spez and JHawley
JHawley
Yes, I am using a wacom Intuos. I just noticed that I'm able to do what I was with my mouse, but not the stylus. update: Yup, that fixed it for me, switching off "Use Windows Ink for tablet input". Thanks for the help!!
