Lodewijk
I'm running Affinity Photo 1.8 and today the Clone Brush Tool stopped working. Just nothing happens when I try to use it. Strange because it used to work well. I tried to 'repair'the programm but without result.
Staff Chris B Posted March 25, 2020 Staff Share Posted March 25, 2020 Hey Lodewijk, Can you screenshot your UI so we can see what the settings are? Make sure you have the Clone Tool selected so we can see the context toolbar. Also, make sure you are on a pixel layer. Ray S.
Hi Lodewijk, you have the highpass-filter-layer selected so you'll cloning the white mask. You should instead select the pixel-layer then the clone-tool should work.
Lodewijk
Well, I tried this before. And to be sure I tried it in a new document, but it did not work either..
Ray S.
Ok, I see that you have set the opacity of the clone stamp tool set to 10% which is not that much, try it with 100% maybe this will help. Chris B
Lodewijk
Hi Ray, Yes, that was it.. I must have touched that button without being aware. Thanks so much, and: Stay healthy 🙏
Ray S.
Thank you and stay healthy too. Maybe you have touched a key on the numeric pad, which is a shortcut to increase or decrease the opacity of the tool (or the layer if the layer-tab is active).
