User fonts displayed multiple times

Hello,

Since I'm using Affinity Apps version 1.8, the fonts in the lists are displayed multiple times when I select them.

I use Font Book (Mac OS App/High Sierra). There the fonts are divided into 'Computer = installed with macOs' and 'User = installed later by user'. You can also create selection lists there.

Affinity makes no difference between 'Computer' and 'User'. They are displayed together in 'All Fonts'. However, the apps use the lists created in the Font Book for the selection (language, Web, PDF, and so on). That's great!

When I make an initial selection from 'All Fonts' in a new document, each font is only displayed once. But when I then select fonts from the selection lists, they are already displayed twice. After changing the selection lists several times, the fonts are even displayed three times.

In all three apps I have already reset the fonts via 'Settings/Miscellaneous/Reset Fonts' - no change. In Font Book no fonts are installed twice or have errors.

There are no problems when using them, no matter which of the fonts I select from those displayed multiple times. The fonts are also embedded correctly during export. With larger font families, however, it becomes really confusing, because the sorting sometimes gets mixed up ...

This is the same in all 3 apps. Is this a bug or is there a reason for it? Any ideas?

Thanks for a reply.

Paul
