Martisummers Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 (edited) Is there a way to delete/remove pictures I have edited? When you tap with two fingers on the affinity photo icon, it pulls up the “Show all Windows”, “Hide”, and “Quit” etc. in addition to recently viewed photos in JPEG (I hope you know what I’m talking about). I’ve uploaded a picture, hopefully you can view it. How do I delete them? It looks messy and I think it’s the reason why I get a spinny wheel. It also shows the percentage. What does that mean? Sorry this is a full loaded question. Edited March 23, 2020 by Martisummers Quote
Martisummers Posted March 23, 2020 Author Posted March 23, 2020 Nevermind! I figured it out so happy. But for anyone wondering it’s “File” —> “Open recent” —> “Clear menu” Quote
R C-R Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Good that you figured it out but for suture reference, note that the Dock popup frequently will show files that Affinity's File > Open Recent menu does not. This happens when a file has been opened in Affinity & then later deleted. IOW, the Affinity Open Recent list will not show you files that no longer exist but the Dock popup will. If you select one of these 'phantom' files from the Dock, nothing happens, which can be confusing. It is easy enough to demonstrate this: Open a new document in your Affinity app & then save it to the Desktop. For easy reference name it something like "test delete" or whatever works for you. Close the file in Affinity & from the Finder move the test file to the trash & empty it. Note that it still appears in the Dock popup but not in Affinity's File > Open Recent menu. I don't know if this is the result of a bug in Affinity or just something the Mac OS does that they have no control over, but it has been like this since the very first version of the Mac Affinity apps were released & in every version of the Mac OS I have used them with.
