Hi,

I have Affinity designer 1.8.2 and some problems with node tool especially. I don't know if it's the new update but transforming curves doesn't work smoothly. The stroke is somehow jumping for a millimetre or so, so you can't precisely put objects one on top of another without it being visible in some corners.

This also appears when applying different shapes. You can't transform the height of square to 1,24 mm as it will change back to 1,2 mm which is especially disturbing, when you want to take care of little details.

There's also one other thing. Initially, when I updated it to 1.8.0, there were appearing some green and red lines (I don't know, how they are called) that really helped when aligning objects one straight above the other or when making them equally big or in equal row. It saved a lot of time and energy when measuring all the things but now this feature is somehow gone with the new update. Will it be back in future updates?

Thank you, Ema

Hi Ema Klemenčič,

With regards to your first issue could you get a screen recording that demonstrates the issues with transforming the curves please?

With your second issue have you ensured you've increased the maximum amount of visible decimal places in Preferences > User Interface? If it is set to 1 you'll only see the 1,2mm, however the underlying value will always be whatever you typed so would still be 1,24mm if you've typed that.

The green and red lines haven't gone away - they're still present, you just need to ensure Snapping is enabled with suitable options such as 'Snap to object bounding boxes'.
