edzap
I am a photographer and after exporting the final Affinity images with a sRGB color profile I went to upload them to my site only to find that they wouldn't load. The IT department for my site checked into it and noticed that the color profile for all my images was gone. Has anyone else had issues with this? Hi edzap, Is there a chance that you could post the Affinity file & the exported file here to take a look at? You can delete them later. Paul. Staff MattP Posted July 21, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 21, 2015 How are you exporting? Are you using the Export Persona? If so, have you got the 'Embed ICC profile' checkbox ticked? :) Paul Bravery
edzap
Paul my client does not want any images posted anywhere. Kitten I am not using export persona. I am exporting the entire file. All of the export settings indicate that the ICC profile is embedded and I should have the sRGB color profile attached but when it was torn apart by my website people they said that the profile was missing. mac_heibu
What us the problem to verify this by yourself? Export an image with profile to your desktop, select it, press cmd+i and look, whether the profile is there. It would be fine, if somebody of the Affinity crew could clearify, if the profiles are attached or embedded.
coranda
The problem may lie in the fact that there is more than one way to embed an icc profile. I recently developed a web site that checked for profiles in jpeg files by checking for the APP2 segment in the file. This is a pseudo standard (or at least common practice) but I had to disable it in the end because I found that images exerted from Picasa, although they claimed to have profiles, did not contain at the APP2 segment. I've done a quick check of jpegs exported from AP and they also appear not to have the APP2 segment but are using some other way. The problem may just be that your web site only accept profiles attached in a certain way. Can any of the dev comment on this?
