Transferring Purchases?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've just purchased a license for Designer on the wrong account - I've two, one for me personally, and one that I created with my work email address. Not really a problem - I have access to both email accounts, but is there a way of moving the purchase over to my personal account - where I've also purchased Photo and Publisher?

Welcome to the Affinity forums.

My impression, based on replies to other posts asking a similar question, is No, licences cannot be transferred to a different email address.  BUT, if it is only a few days since you purchased the "wrong" licence you can email returns@serif.com (I think that's the correct address) and request a refund for the "wrong" licence and then buy the "right" one.

Yes, this is what I've come to the conclusion to as well... like I said, it's not really an issue - providing I keep working for them 😆 - I'd just prefer to keep everything under one roof, so to speak. Looks like a refund and re-purchase is what I'll be doing! Thanks for this.

I think it’s actually affinityreturns@serif.com but it should be easy enough to check via a forum search.

Edited to add: Confirmed here.

@Alfred

Thanks!  I had a feeling what I wrote was not entirely correct!

I don't know if anyone can help with a question that occurred to me when I saw this.

When I purchased APhoto I had a different email address, which I no longer have access to. If I need to reinstall it on another PC, at some time in the future, does it matter that I'll need to enter a (now) non-existent email address to complete the setup?

No, not as far as I’m aware.

No, that won't be a problem.

However, if you haven't, you should update the email address in your Affinity Store account details, so they have good contact information for you.

Thanks both for your replies. I had thought that the email address was only needed for registration purposes when installing the software, but just wanted to check. I have updated it elsewhere, but there seems to be no way to change the one that was registered when the original purchase was made.

There isn't.
