Strange PDF export

Recommended Posts

The strange text in your PDF might be related to a known issue in Affinity with (older) Postscript fonts. So your used "Montobello-Sans" (Type 1 font) might cause this.

As a workaround you could try either/or ...:

– Convert the related text into curves before export.
– Choose in Export > More the option to convert text to curves. (That way all text in the entire PDF gets curved)
– Change the used Postscript font with another, younger or non-postscript font file.

Montebello is a free font for owners of Publisher. It's available in OTF and TTF formats. Check the "Welcome" window in Publisher for a link.

that is what I used. The OTF format.

In that case you might try again:

– either after re-setting your font-library in Affinity (app prefs > misc > font) or in macOS
– or after de- & re-installing the font
– or installing the TTF version instead the OTF

To me after installing Montebello-Sans, OTF, it exports successfully:   v182 montebello otf.pdf
