Subdivision lines disappeared

Hi guys,

Unfortunately there is an issue when displaying grids at quite a small value. It is logged with development however and I'll get it passed on to development. Switching 'Display:' to 'Metal' in Preferences > User Interface should alleviate the issue you're seeing, however you may find that extreme zoom levels will cause it to disappear. However in most cases this should be usable. :)

What is metal?

I believe that it is a Mac graphics screen drawing method.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.0 | Affinity Photo 2.4.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Sean, FYI it seems to be happening any time I use a grid spacing equal to or less than 0.05 with 2 divisions.  Zoom isn't affecting it.  My setup is too old (as is the operator) to use Metal.  Thanks for your help.

FYI I ran into this on 1.8.0.5 yesterday.  It was working fine in 1.7.3

I now switched back to 1.7.3 and, yes, it’s the latest available version, where the subdivision lines appeared the way they shall.

If you know that in the future updates they will fix the issue, please, write a line here. Thank you!

We have made fixes/improvements to this area (Grids divisions fail to show below 16px and grids fail to show below 4px using OpenGL) of the program in the latest release.

The fixes and how to update are described in these forum posts.

We would appreciate you checking that this issue has now been resolved for you.
