To the extent I understand it from what I can find on the web, I believe this to be correct for all Mac OS versions. (It is somewhat complicated because there are both total system-wide limits & per process limits, and for the latter both processes shared by multiple processes & that apps can & usually do run multiple processes concurrently have to be taken into account when determining if any per process limit is being exceeded.) However, I do not have even a hint of a single clue about if or how this might apply to the Windows OS. tehrenbe
I ran into the same problem today. I have a windows 10 system, up to date with all fixes and also the newst Affinity publisher release. I started a photo book and I have currently 452 linked files (photos or vector graphics). But now, I can't neither add a photo nor change one nor save my publisher document. All this with the error message 'Too many files open'). Why the discussion here stopped? Is there a solution? Thanks for any help!
