misshelenc
Hi, I've looked everywhere! is there a magnetic lasso tool like the one in Ps? I can only find the free hand selection tool? Thank you, Helen
Ron P.
Grab the Lasso selection tool. Then up on the context toolbar, you should see an icon resembling a magnet. GarryP
I think Ron P. means the Freehand Selection Tool. That tool is only available in Photo, Publisher’s Photo Persona or Designer’s Pixel Persona. If you can’t see it (it looks like a rope lasso), try menu “View → Customise Tools…” and drag the tool to your Toolbar.

Or it may be hiding in with the other pixel selection tools: Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.
Bynah
Thank you! most helpful! Now comes another question. At the bottom of that page to add it says Drag +^. That symbol on my macbook is 6 with the shift key pushed ^ I don't think that is what it is saying. Where would I find that symbol elsewhere? I think that's going to be your Ctrl key, but as I'm not a Mac user I'm not sure. Bynah
I can't figure out how to do it that way. There are on the top left corner a few boxes for mode: new, add, subtract, intersect. I found those to work somewhat. I'm just trying to learn at this point. I do have another question on the other subject. I am going to jump over to it. thank you! Yes but not (6)^ As usual Walt is correct the Drag + ^ means hold the control key down while you drag. walt.farrell 1 Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4 Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.
