iMac1943
see attachment when I click Affinity Designer Help, one time it opens, but when I want to enlarge the window, it closes and when I try to open it again, it's not appearing anymore. Closing AD and reopening doesn't help. Where can I see or open AD Help (apart from the program itself)?
Staff Lee D Posted July 20, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 20, 2015 Hi iMac1943, Sorry to hear you're having issues with the Help, could you let me know which OS X you're running and which version of Designer you have installed? Thanks
iMac1943
I have Affinity Designer 1.3.2 and OS 10.11 (Beta)
iMac1943
I am part of Apple's test group (iOS and OS)
Staff Lee D Posted July 21, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 21, 2015 Thanks for letting me know, It seems to be related to El Capitan as even the App Store help isn't working for any of us with the beta installed. I'm sure this will be sorted before the official release. One of my colleagues has managed to export the help to PDF, see this thread for more info. Hope this helps. will1960
As I am a part of Apple's Beta group also, I have dual boot running both Yosemite, Yosemite beta and El Capitan When I have a issue when running in El Capitan I verify in Yosemite if the problem is in El Capitan I report to apple. Affinity Designer and Photo is made for Yosemite. Beta testers should check the apps iOS and OS compatibility first.... I understand when developers say "OS X 10.7 or later" BUT Not meaning beta OS X..
iMac1943
That s clear Will1960. I have 10.9 running on an external HD, maybe I better install AD on there until fixed.
iMac1943
LeeD, the thread is for Affinity Photo, not for Designer. Does it exist in pdf for AD?
Staff Lee D Posted July 21, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 21, 2015 The same steps work for Designer, once completed you will have a PDF file. :)

iMac1943
Ahhh! In German... Does it exist in English?
Staff Lee D Posted July 21, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 21, 2015 You'll need to change your language options in System Preferences > Language & Region. Once this has been changed open the app, the Help should be in English, then follow the steps to export to PDF.
iMac1943
Good, thank you. Next try.
iMac1943
well, not OK, only half of the text on a page, and strange, still in German. I'll install AD on a separate partition with 10.9 until it's fixed for 10.
iMac1943
with the new OS built (10.11 Beta (15A226f) Affinity Designer Help works fine.
