Make zooming work with CTRL+SPACE instead of SPACE+CTRL

Recommended Posts

For software to be usable and enjoyable, it must be intuitive. Therefore, it would be immensely useful for us to be able to zoom with CTRL+SPACE, instead of SPACE+CTRL. Our ingrained experience with PCs and our reflexes almost always leads us to press the CTRL button before any other button so pressing SPACE first is counter intuitive. I always copy a layer by mistake because I didn't follow the correct order which for some reason in Affinity Photo is SPACE first, CTRL second. There's no such problem in Photoshop. Making the user stop and think about the order of operations for such a simple task as zooming is poor user experience (UX) design IMHO. I hope this can be looked into and considered for the upcoming update.

Give us both, please.

In my mac cmd-space does not invoke spotlight. And anyway application should catch system wide shortcuts and prevent them executing (that is a problem I guess).
