I cannot paste normal transliterated text in Garamond that is derived from Devanāgarī.

Usually in word this is no Problem, once I simply copy and paste the text from word in Publisher, Publisher almost crashes and then gives out simple cubes instead of the letters, this is true when it is pasted with or without format. If this problem cannot be solved affinity publisher is almost useless. I need this transliterated letters as I am writing about a Sanskrit text.

Please help me, all adobe fonts of Garamond are installed on my computer (win 10).

I read in the net (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/217228/what-does-it-mean-when-my-text-is-displayed-as-boxes) , that the text being displayed in boxes is not supported.

But this is not true, word is showing me in several different fonts including the one I used in affinity publisher, these transliterated letters. therefore I cannot understand why it is this way, I thought affinity publisher is using the system fonts?

SOLVED !

The text that contains romanized Devanāgarī letters has to be pasted as UNICODE TEXT ( not without format). The problem is then solved when one chooses EDIT - PASTE SPECIAL - UNICODE TEXT.

afterwards the letters can be re-transformed in any other font.
