PDF Export 1.8.2 text still unselectable (split)

Hi All,

I've been following this thread as I have ran into similar issues.  After updating to Affinity Designer 1.8.1 my PDF exports tripled in size and text was no longer selectable.   Just updated to 1.8.2, I can get file size down, but am still not able to get selectable text on the PDF export.  Any suggestions?

I have split your post off into a new thread as although your problem may be the same as in the original thread this issue is meant to have been addressed by 1.8.2 update.

It may be that you used a type 1 font or applied an effect that requires vectorization or rasterization.

Please can you attach or provide a link to your file so we can investigate, and tell us what settings you chose in the export options (or provide a screen shot)

Hi, did you try opening your PDF in one of the Affinity apps? If you do this and your text is an image instead of text you can modify, there's a problem in your export settings or your file, as said  by Patrick Connor.
