Kingwhistle Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 I hope someone can point the way for me I can't find an answer in forum. I have several circles. Each circle has a color which fades (gradient) radially to transparent. These represent light sources. I want to place these circles overlapping slightly AND have the color blend/multiply appropriately as they stack up. BUT, this is not occurring. Instead Any help or examples would be appreciated. Aammppaa Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 You need to explore Blend Modes in the Layers Panel. https://affinity.help/designer/English.lproj/pages/Layers/layerBlendModes.html Try playing around to see which mode gives you the result you like. Watch a tutorial… Also, try reading up on the different modes… https://theeagerlearner.com/your-big-friendly-guide-to-layer-blend-modes/ Kingwhistle 1 Quote Win10 Home x64 | AMD Ryzen 7 2700X @ 3.7GHz | 48 GB RAM | 1TB SSD | nVidia GTX 1660 | Wacom Intuos Pro

firstdefence Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 Multiply or Pin Light are going to be your best options but definitely multiply. Kingwhistle Posted March 17, 2020 Author Posted March 17, 2020 Great! I know it's a bit extreme, but I wish there was a way to make a gradient that gave a choice on exactly how it transitions. A way to customize the "curve" from A to B instead of strictly linear. I know that we can choose the midpoint of the curve, but having two "midpoints" would give the possibility of transitions which are "S" shaped as well. Quote
Aammppaa Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 You can add as many 'mid' points as you like. I'd recommend reading the whole help and watch all the tutorials - they are really pretty good, and you will learn a great deal!
