apgal
Hi, Everytime I export from AD to jpg, png or any format the image will always appear pixelated/blurry when I preview it outside of AD. Inside it looks crisp and clear. Does anyone know why it might be doing this? Thanks you
Paul Bravery
Hi apgal, What type of file are you exporting to & what settings do you use? Could you post your AD file plus the exported file to the forum, please? Paul.
apgal
Hi Paul, Thank you for your reply. I have just quickly mocked up the issue I am having. Attached are the AD file and the exported JPG. The AD file looks fine but then when I export it to JPG it is blurry and pixelated in places. Thank you. Andy h.afdesign
Staff TonyB Posted July 20, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 20, 2015 Your design is setup to be 500 x 500 pixels. If you export to JPEG then that's what you will get. If you need a higher resolution image then just increase your design pixel size.
apgal
Thanks for the reply. It is not the size of the canvas/design that is the problem it is the quality in which it exports at. The text in my example above is blurry which it is not in the AD file. Does that make sense? Andy
Staff TonyB Posted July 20, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 20, 2015 Affinity Designer works with vectors so everything will always look sharp even if you zoom in. JPEG is a pixel format so can only contain detail for the size you want to export.
apgal
Thank you. So is there anything I can do in my settings etc to make the quality better or is it a case of because it is a jpg this is how it will be? Thanks
