Sorry but i am getting insane... so i try to find a solution here.

I have a photo of a product package, and about 20 different labels designed in Publisher. The label design must have a slight perspective change or some "skew".
Is there a way in AP to place the design, give it the skew it needs and then just change the source. Like in Photoshop ("smart objects") some years ago..?

Or do i really have to place the label image, then make the perspective changes 20 times?!?

Please help!!!! :-)

Is it a “Skew” or a “Perspective change”?
If you have simply given the layer a Skew then you can just use the “Replace Image” button in the Context Toolbar while the image is selected.
If you want to give the image a Perspective change, you can do this by adding a Live Perspective Filter to the image, and then using the “Replace Image” button in the Context Toolbar.

Is this what you want?

Thank you, but not exactly. The Layer that contains the label design is a vector graphic. I placed the pdf with 20 pages and i can select the different pages in Photo. But when i make changes like skewing, Photo converts the layer into pixels...

What you tell me here is the workaround, i was not aware of. Thank you!!

None of the Affinity applications can add perspective to a vector image, and keep that layer as a vector upon export, at least not yet (see later posts for a bit more clarity).
It’s something that has been asked for many times but we have no idea when or if it will come.
If the procedure above is good enough for your current needs then that’s good enough for me.

Are you sure it's a pixel layer? Remember that Photo always uses a Pixel-based view mode, and so it may display object edges as pixellated even if they are still vector. Unless Photo is actually saying you have a raster layer it may be OK if you were to view it in Designer, instead.

I may not be understanding you, but I can apply a live perspective filter to an embedded document layer, and I can then edit the embedded document and replace it, while still having the live perspective layer effective. The perspective layer can be above the embedded document, or attached to it. Here's a .afphoto document with an example of each.

What I probably should have said is that none of the Affinity applications allow the user to apply a perspective to a vector layer while keeping that layer as a vector when the document is exported. In other words, when a perspective is applied to a layer, that layer – when exported to any format – will always be rasterised. Therefore, any vector layer with a perspective added to it will not a be a vector once it has been exported.

Thanks, @GarryP. That is clearer :)
