Kikudjira Posted March 11, 2020 Posted March 11, 2020 Hello everybody! I can’t find the answer to my question :( Can I convert the shadow effect in Affinity Designer to a raster by saving the object itself in a vector and subsequently get two objects? So then I can merge only shadow with the background. Quote
firstdefence Posted March 11, 2020 Posted March 11, 2020 You could create a duplicate of the object fill it with whatever colour you want your shadow to be and use the gaussian blur fx to create a shadow. Kikudjira Posted March 12, 2020 Author Posted March 12, 2020 Thank you for the answer! Yes, this method is obvious. It is a pity that there is no similar functionality, as in Illustrator. When, there are a lot of such objects, then this is not very convenient when preparing for printing Quote

firstdefence Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 Here is another technique that is probably more to the OP's liking @Kikudjira Create a vector shape, so lets stay with the donut Add an Outer Shadow and configure to your flava.. Uncheck the fill knocks out shadow... ...and drop the Fill Opacity to 0% You should be left with just the shadow and the vector hidden but editable. emrezo Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 So there is no rasterizing the fx? Forteskun 1 Quote
