Right now i can't input more than a few characters that the tool is dropped. I looked in the preferences and i saw no options. Thanks for any help on this matter. When renaming a layer you have as long as you want, as the name can be changed until you hit Return, or deselect the layer in the Layers Studio. Could you please provide a screenshot showing the active highlight being dropped? Are you pressing any 'special' keys or holding down your mouse during the operation?
