foto-grafic Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 Hi, a question just to understand: we have on the same level the thumbnail of the photo and the thumbnail of the mask; in the layer, ALT + click on the mask minature and, on the screen I see the mask; always i in the level, click in the thumbnail of the photo and on the screen I see the photo. Up to this point completely normal, the difference that I would like to be explained is, because in AP the photo after the click is displayed, so to speak, in sections and, instead, in PS it is displayed instantly. Yet it is the same PC, same video card, same CPU, extended RAM etc .; in AP in Preferences / Performance I have changed everything but the result is always the same. Thanks to those who want to dedicate a little of their time to satisfy my curiosity.🙂 Quote
Staff Callum Posted March 11, 2020 Staff Posted March 11, 2020 Hi Foto-grafic, I'll keep you company, However I'm not quite sure I have understood your issue, is your problem that when you ALT click a layer thumbnail it takes a while for the layer to display on screen? Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
firstdefence Posted March 11, 2020 Posted March 11, 2020 That's how I read it Callum, the image doesn't appear in one go it appears incrementally in blocks/sections Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... Staff Callum Posted March 11, 2020 Staff Posted March 11, 2020 Sounds like a redraw issue so messing with the performance tab settings should have had some effect. Please could you make sure your GPU drivers are up to date? Could you also provide a screen shot of your performance tab? C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
foto-grafic Posted March 11, 2020 Author Posted March 11, 2020 @Callum Thanks for the company, it is as it says @firstdefence " the image doesn't appear in one go it appears incrementally in blocks/sections" to better understand I add a movie where it happens at minute 00:07, 00:40, 1:00 This is my Preferences / Performance MaskVideo.wmv Quote
Staff Callum Posted March 11, 2020 Staff Posted March 11, 2020 Please could you try uninstalling and reinstalling your GPU drivers? Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
foto-grafic Posted March 11, 2020 Author Posted March 11, 2020 Here I am, I made your suggestion, unfortunately, the result is negative, nothing has changed. If you have another idea, it is welcome___ Quote
Staff Callum Posted March 11, 2020 Staff Posted March 11, 2020 If you change the renderer dropdown to one of the other options does this behaviour improve? Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
foto-grafic Posted March 11, 2020 Author Posted March 11, 2020 I'm sorry Callum, if there are variations they are only pejorative. My primary question was to know why it displays in sections while in PS it is instantaneous; yet ol PC is the same. Thanks for the time I make you lose___ Pšenda 1 Quote
Staff Callum Posted March 11, 2020 Staff Posted March 11, 2020 There is no need to apologise, our canvas redraws every frame when ever you get the canvas displaying in sections it means are renderer is not able to redraw the canvas quick enough so it is doing it in sections. Thanks C foto-grafic 1 Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
