Can you do the same for me as well?

Having now made 4 posts, and having registered when you did, I think you now have access to that function.

A very strange comment from a moderator. I have invested my hard earned money in the product and have no reason to not continue to ask questions about the product and expect to get civil answers to those questions.

It does not say that you have to have signed up for any particular length of time to change your avatar and it looks like a bug.

Why don't you read the posts of the thread you are currently contributing to?

No one and nothing stops you from asking questions. Editing a profile picture and asking questions are completely different matters.

@DreamEngine

Newly joined members cannot edit their profile picture, sorry. That comes after 4 days and more than 3 posts, on your next post.

To explain, you start in a forum group with restricted abilities to stop spammers. The ability to edit your profile picture (and other advantages) will come after 4 days of forum membership, automatically as you make a post, but only if that post is your 4th post (or above). So anyone who has made more than 3 posts, where one of those posts is made after the 4th day, gains the ability to edit their profile picture edit posts longer and other forum features.

After another 1 or 2 posts you'll be able to change your profile picture. As Patrick mentioned above, the current restrictions are part of the spam prevention methodology for the forums.

That's a bunch of BS!  This has nothing to do with SPAM prevention, it's a dumb feature of the forum that limits the users - not spam bots!

Same ... If this is a SPAM issue, you have bigger problems than avatars!  Spammers are already in and don't care about their personal avatars.  Duh!

same thing here.  there is no option to change from the default.

You joined last July, but you’ve only made three posts. Making a fourth post will unlock the ability to change your avatar.

But WHY?  I just wasted 30 minutes trying to figure out how to get my profile photo setup.  There was no notice that it was "impossible for a new user" so I just kept searching....  Glad I found this forum where everyone is asking for a link to get it done.

Can anyone tell me when I WILL be able to add a forum photo?  Or can I, too, ask for a custom link to allow me to add my logo?

Welcome to the forum.

The first posting from a new user has to be approved before he/she can change setting in the user profile. You should now be able to set a logo.

Last I knew, it required 4 or more posts and several (3?) days of membership.

Just change it. No other forum does this.

Try and be user friendly and make your software the same.

Please.

It's a part of the spam-prevention measures that Serif have decided to use for the forum, as I understand it.

You have been here long enough, and made enough posts, that you should be able to change yours if you want to. Click on your name in the upper-right corner of the page, then click on Profile in the dropdown, and you should be able to add a profile photo if you want one.

Edit: Or click on the D icon in your post, which should take you to your profile directly.
