Mushr00m
Sorry if my question is stupid but I can't find how to do that. I have created 2 path (lines) and merge them in one layer, and now I want to connect one path to the other. So i take the Pen tool and try to go from the end of my first path to the end of the other one but when clicking on the node of the second one it select the node and do not create the join between them. Any idea ? Note : They are both red square. If I use "Close curve" it closes each path to a curve but not the 2 selected nodes. miwek
Staff MEB Posted July 19, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 19, 2015 Hi Mushr00m, Check out this small clip (no sound). Just make sure you save Snap to selected curves enabled in the Snap section on the context toolbar for the Node tool. This will make the nodes snap to the exact position over the others you want to join. miwek and Mariusz go 1 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software | Affinity Quick Reference
Mushr00m
Thanks it work ! One issue was that I had merged (plus sign) my two layer in one before doing that.
mazarin
Well, I'm discussing the exact same drawing situation here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/11291-how-to-combine-objects-or-connect-separated-lines-on-ad/. This is more a workaround than a real world way to draw. This slows down object creation a lot. The solution I could see on the other topic is more of a workaround than a real world way to draw. This slows down object creation a lot. Bro. It's my personal opinion, but together with the actual "raw snapping options" this should be addressed ASAP. Graphic designers or people who do a bit more technical illustrations are significantly tied when drawing in AD right now.
