Guest Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 (edited) Hello The Affinity Team ! I would like to wish each of you for a Happy & Safe Holi ( The Festival of Sharing Love as Different Colors in India). I am Gyan (GJ79), one of Affinity Photo user. I have been using Affinity as trialware. But this time i discovered a strange behavior. I am also an Windows Insider. That means I receive Windows 10 Insider Builds frequently ( as of Fast Ring I receive new builds in every week). When a new build is being rolled out, my PC receives it and then I install every build on my PC as per the schedule to check for new features and to check any existing bugs. Now here is an issue that I have been observing for few weeks when I am using the trial version of Affinity Photo. Exploring the real time scenario here. " I am being notified in the program for 7 days of using the trial version once I click the Start the trial option ". When there is only 1 day left, accidentally and coincidentally a new Windows Insider Build is being rolled out at the same time. My PC installs the newer version of Windows 10. After a successful installation of the build, when I open the Affinity Photo trial it resets the trial period and again I am being notified that there are 7 days left (again) for using the program. This may be treated as most urgent. It may be treated as a bug report or a technical issue with subscription. I hope the same will be fixed soon. And I have to report this because I never want the hard works should be spoiled by any means. Thank You. #Gracias Edited March 10, 2020 by Guest Minor Edit. Quote
Staff Chris B Posted March 10, 2020 Staff Posted March 10, 2020 Hey Gyan, welcome to the Affinity Forums. I wasn't aware that the Windows Insider builds were capable of resetting the trial versions. I will of course feed this back to the developers. I hope you are enjoying the software and thank you for letting us know about this. Guest Posted March 11, 2020 Posted March 11, 2020 Oh yes, I am really enjoying the program so far. It is fun to use and hope feature updates and other security updates being released in future. And I was wrong actually itis 10 days for using the trial version instead of 7 days. Quote
