The more I'm working with Publisher 1.8, the more I'm thinking there's a fundamental bug in the way text styles are working. I will attempt to be concise, but this is a strange thing to explain...

I have the following styles created:

Body: 11pt Cormorant, 16pt lead, 16pt after, manage widows/orphans
Heading 1: 16pt Bebeau, 16pt lead,

a text frame and copy which includes headings and body text. I have styles named Heading 1 and Body. I also have a character style named Runin (which is bold)

Also, I'm noticing when setting tab stops in the paragraph panel, the tab created is incorrect. For example, I have a tabloid 3-column folded brochure. So I have text frames for each column that are approx. 3.6" wide. I chose a paragraph and enter .25 in the tab stops field and click the -+ button. It inserts a tab stop at .375...

It would also help if you'd attach a small sample document with your styles to demonstrate the problem.

From reading your description, I do not see anything that looks like a problem before the paragraph that begins with "Also". Was there a problem in the earlier part that I didn't recognize?

For setting the tab stops via the Paragraph panel: That is interesting, and I can confirm that I see similar behavior. When I first open the Paragraph panel and look at the Tab Stops section, there is a value shown (.5 in, for me). If I change the value, say to .25 in, and click the + sign I get a tab stop at some value greater than that (one time, .5 in, another time, .394 in). That feels like a bug.

However, if I delete that first tab stop by clicking on the "x" icon on the right, inserting another one goes in at the proper spot.
