sfriedberg Posted March 24, 2020 Share Posted March 24, 2020 I personally don't have the need, but I have a close friend with over 750,000 digital photos managed under Lightroom, and he'd be delighted to try out alternatives to Lightroom. (Three quarters of a million photos is neither a typo nor an error. He shoots school gatherings constantly, and takes 2,000+ photos at each event. He wears out shutters on pro-sumer digital cameras.) The only thing I can't do is find a replacement for Lightroom, and I'm dying to get rid of my Adobe subscription. Affinity commented a few years back and said y’all were working on a Lightroom alternative which was the reason I originally purchased Photo. Serif did actually say that they were working on a digital asset manager (DAM) for the Affinity suite but it was put on the back burner. I think this was probably before the first beta release of Affinity Publisher.
