Hi guys, am an architecture major undergrad, and I just bought Affinity because I don’t want to pay for the adobe monthly subscription. I have a few questions;

1-When I import my pdf plans and sections to poché them why do they show up as many lines and curves instead of one image just like in Photoshop? is there any way to change this.

2-Am having problems with the selection tool, the flood selection tool sometimes doesn’t work or ends up selecting more than I want to to select. At the moment am having to use the lasso tool to outline around what I want to select which takes too much of my time, compared to Photoshop where one click selects what I want it to. Is there a way other way to do this differently (select portions between lines/curves without bleeding into other spaces,) or am I using the selection tool wrong or is there another tool am not aware of that selects like Photoshop does.

Thanks.

Hi Joshtibo,

Welcome to the forums :)

1. It's difficult to say why this might be the case without seeing the file in question please could you provide it? If you don't want to post it publicly please send me a PM.

2. I'd recommend trying the selection brush for this to see if it gives you a better result :)

Thanks

C
